Quay
Quay (also called as wharf) is a long platform, located parallel to the shoreline, where vessels can berth or tie up alongside the dock. The length (measured in meters) of this platform varies from several hundred meters (typical for landlocked terminals) up to a couple of thousand meters, depending on the terminal.
