A Gate Operating System (GOS) is system software for the management and supervision of gate processes and sub-processes. It's quite similar to TOS (Terminal Operating System) and is currently being utilized in most advanced terminals and depots. GOS implementation is highly profitable in terms of reducing costs while increasing the terminal's overall productivity.
GOS is a complete solution that comprises several software modules, with some of them are customer-oriented and others are customizable and configurable.
Gate Operating System's primary purpose is to simplify and streamline operational processes within a terminal. It automatically tracks the vehicle and identifies its type and license plate number to guide it through pass screens. The driver doesn't even need to get out of the vehicle (so-called "Driver-Self-Service").
Gate Operating Systems work with TOS, as well as other terminal systems and software modules. GOS is usually customizable and can be implemented in various technological environments according to the operator's and customer's needs. Consequently, GOS provides terminals with enough tools for improving productivity and cutting unnecessary operational costs.
